Dr Emma Kopcikas - Osteopath Brisbane

Emma Kopcikas Osteopath GrangeB.Clin.Sci, M. Osteopathy

Registered Osteopath

Coming from a strong sporting and fitness background, from a young age Emma has experienced her fair share of injuries. From rolled ankles, sprained knee ligaments, to lower back pain, shoulder injuries and torn muscles, Emma has been there. If you are experiencing pain or recovering from an injury, Emma understands the difference finding experienced, holistic and results-focussed care can make to you feeling your best as quickly as possible.

Previously Emma worked as an Osteopath in Brisbane at clinics primarily treating office workers and sports people, as well as at clinics who solely focused on the treatment of pregnancy, babies and children. This experience has made her a great "all round" Osteopath.

"As I have spent my life surrounded by fitness, I do have a special interest in sporting injuries. From rising stars to weekend warriors, the ability to recover and keep going with your sporting and fitness goals is important to me.

I definitely have an interest in treating babies and children. I never get tired of watching how quickly they respond to treatment. I want to do whatever I can to give a child the best possible start to life whether they are new born, on the move or starting big school."

B. Sci, B.Clin.Sci, M. Osteopathy, Grad. Cert. Tert. Edu

Registered Osteopath

With a strong desire to get the most out of his body, Ethen begun resistance training and exercise at an early age, leading to a plethora of injuries (acute and chronic). Amidst dealing with these issues and pursuing a profession in the medical field, he came across Osteopathy – a beautiful blend of anatomy, medicine and holistic understanding of rehabilitating the body.

With an unconventional history of professional endeavours, Ethen has worked as an Osteopath, Anatomy Educator, Personal trainer, Exercise consultant, Ergonomics consultant, home care therapist and mobile masseuse (to name a few). This broad spectrum of experiences has provided him an appreciation for the different perspectives people share towards their bodies, limitations and expectations for improving their physicality. Ethen now enjoys providing a blend of structural and indirect hands-on treatment along with exercise-rehabilitation advice.

“Having spent so much time training and observing others journeys in exercise and physical performance, I admit having a natural affinity to assisting others with getting the most out of their bodies.

However, Osteopathic hands-on therapy serves a fundamental role in alleviating physical discomfort whilst reassuring people (young and old) that their body has the capacity to recover. In many cases, recovery is merely a step towards discovering new frontiers of what your body can REALLY do”.
