MyMedicare Registration
Registration is Now Open
You can now register with MyMedicare and choose our clinic as your preferred medical centre. Registration is free, optional, and can be completed online or in person at our clinic.
How to Register
To register online, log in to your Medicare Online Account or the Express Plus Medicare app, search for our clinic in the list of registered GP clinics, and select us as your preferred practice. Once you submit your application, our staff will confirm your registration in the system. If you cannot see our clinic listed yet, please check back later in the month, as we may still be finalising the set-up process.
To register in person, simply visit our clinic and complete a MyMedicare registration form at reception. By signing the form, you give consent for our staff to complete the registration in the MyMedicare system on your behalf.
What is MyMedicare?
MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model introduced by the Australian Government. It is designed to strengthen the relationship between you and your preferred GP clinic, and to provide extra Medicare benefits to patients who register. To be eligible, you must have attended at least two face-to-face GP appointments at our clinic within the past 24 months.
Benefits of Registering
By registering our clinic as your home clinic, you will build a stronger ongoing relationship with your GP and receive more coordinated and personalised care. You will also have access to longer MBS-funded telehealth consultations of 20 minutes or more with your GP, and Medicare will provide a higher rebate for these longer consultations to make them more affordable. The government will continue to expand the benefits of MyMedicare over time, so registering now ensures you will receive future benefits as they are introduced.
Other Information
There is no cost to register, and you can continue to see other doctors or attend other medical centres, though the additional benefits will only apply at your registered home clinic. Children can also be registered. Parents or guardians must register children under 14 at the clinic with a paper form, while young people aged 14 to 17 may register themselves or with parental consent. Registration is flexible and you are not locked in. You can change or cancel your registration at any time.
Make Our Clinic Your Home Clinic
MyMedicare is an opportunity to strengthen your connection with your GP, improve continuity of care, and access new Medicare benefits. We welcome both current and past patients to register with us as their home clinic.
