Dr Matthew Cockburn is a Rural Generalist and Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, with advanced training in surgery. He has extensive experience across surgery, emergency medicine, anaesthetics, and general practice, which allows him to deliver comprehensive, whole-person care. He has a strong passion for rural and community healthcare, mentoring future doctors, and supporting patients with both routine and complex health needs. Outside of medicine, Dr Cockburn enjoys family life with his partner, a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, and their two sons.
